Pray for us
It's very hard to stay upbeat these days. Sometimes I feel I should run to the country and begin a commune like some of those good folks up at Sandhill. Other times I'm thankful I still have a job and hope I can ride it out... at least the really bad stuff. But I wonder if there will be a recovery. One of my tenants asked me for a job today. It's tough out there, and I'm not sure where the jobs will be. Probably growing food, rehabbing houses to be more energy efficient, or building new energy efficient systems, like power grids and mass transportation. I would definitely stick to the basics - people won't have money to waste in the years ahead.
I read a couple of posts today that sum up what I'm talking about. This one from Sharon talks about a prediction that simply eating will be a challenge within a few years. And this one from Ruppert that sums up the global threats we face. Not a pretty world out there, and it's no surprise that no one wants to talk about it. Simply admitting the truth leaves us vulnerable to reality. But we are.
Follow Mike's suggestions and let's get ready. As humans, we'll either evolve or die. Either way, we might as well enjoy the ride.
